Who will be opening the conference?
H.E. Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Hanif Hassan, will be opening the conference.
Who is the Keynote Speaker for the conference?
The key note speaker is Stephen R. Sroka. Ph.D. He will deliver a motivational speech under the title: The Power of ONE to Make a Difference
Will I be able to meet all the speakers?
You can meet the trainers directly after the workshops or during the networking coffee breaks and lunch. Some of them may even be willing to exchange email addresses.
Is there an opportunity to network with my peers?
During some workshops you will be asked to work in groups. You can also network during coffee and lunch breaks. The Gala dinner on the 15th of January will be a perfect occasion to network as well.
How can I attend the Gala Dinner?
You can purchase a ticket at the registration desk on the days of the conference or contact the organizers via email (go to the “Contact us” section of the website).
Is there an opportunity to check the exhibition?
There is plenty of time for you to check the exhibition. Specific times are set on the conference schedule.
Where will I get my nametag?
You can obtain your nametag from the registration desk. You will need to keep your nametag with you at all times, or you can not have access to the rooms.
Where will I get my conference pack?
The conference packs will be available next to the registration desk
Will there be lunch at the conference?
Yes, if you have registered for full day pass you can enjoy an international buffet.
Is lunch free for all?All participants who register for the two full days of the conference will receive a lunch coupon that will allow them to enter the lunch area.
A hotel staff member will be collecting them .
Lost coupons can not be replaced by new ones.
Will there be Internet access at the hotel?
Internet access is available, however you will be charged.
Do I need a visit visa to visit the United Arab Emirates?

Can the individual topics or topic times listed on the online schedule change?
The schedule might undergo subtle changes. Make sure to take the updated schedule when you register on the first day of the conference.
How do I know the timing and room numbers of sessions?
You will have a copy of the final schedule in the conference programme. You can pick your copy at the registration desk.

Can I arrive 20 minutes late to the workshops in the afternoon?
Doors will be closed after 15 minutes of the start of each session.
Where will I be staying?
The conference is held at the Media Rotana, Barsha. You could stay there, or rent a room in some nearby hotel.
Are there special delegate prices at Media Rotana?

The earlier the better. Room availability is limited.
Do I get a certificate for the conference or the sessions I attend?
THERE WILL BE NO CERTIFICATE ISSUED FOR ATTENDANCE OF SPECIFIC SESSIONS since TeachME 09 is a conference.
There will be 3 kinds of certificates available:• Full Day Attendance
• Half Day Attendance
• Special certificate for schools that send groups of delegates
Should I stay for the two days of the conference to get a certificate?
Yes, you should.
When and how do I get my certificate of attendance?
Participants will get their specific certificate of attendance at the end of the conference.
